Elya May (*1977) geboren in Russland, aufgewachsen in Australien, wo sie die Kunsthochschule abschloss, lebt heute in Berlin. Alina Kopytsa (*1983) lebt und arbeitet in Kiew und Biel. Sie interessieren sich auf unterschiedliche Weise für Geschlechterbeziehungen aus weiblicher Perspektive und zeigten ihre performativen Arbeiten unabhängig voneinander in verschiedenen europäischen Ländern. Elya beschäftigt sich mit Fragen der Subordination, Individualität, Kontrolle und Rebellion, Alina mit Themen des Fetischismus und dem unkomplizierten Umgang mit sozialen und sexuellen Tabus. Am Body and Freedom Festival inszenieren sie sich in ungewöhnlichen Körperpositionen. Im Abendprogramm zeigt Alina Kopytsa ihr „Silicon game“.

Elya May (*1977) vit actuellement à Berlin. Elle est née en Russie et a grandi en Australie où elle a terminé l’Ecole des Arts visuels. Alina Kopytsa (*1983) vit et travaille à Kiew et à Bienne. Chacune à sa manière, elles s’intéressent aux relations entre sexes féminins à partir de la perspective d’une femme. Elles montrent leurs performances indépendamment l’une de l’autre dans différents pays européens. Elya aborde les questions de subordination, d’individualité, de contrôle et de rébellion. Alina travaille sur les thèmes du fétichisme, des tabous sociaux et sexuels. Au Festival Body and Freedom, elles mettent en scène des positions corporelles inhabituelles. En soirée Alina Kopytsa présente son „Silicon game“.

Elya May (*1977) is a Russian born artist, now living in Berlin. She spent her youth in Australia where she graduated from her studies at the College of Arts. Alina Kopytsa (*1983) lives and works in Kiev and Biel.Both artists’interests lie in differing aspects of gender/sexual relationship issues seen from the female perspective and have been independantly performing their art works throughout Europe. Elya is concerned with questions of subordination, Individualism, control and rebellion whereas Alina focuses on fetish practices and an uncomplicated approach towards social and sexual taboos. In Body and Freedom Festival, Elya and Alina will be presenting themselves in unusual and unconventional body positionings. In the Evening Program , Alina shows us her „Silicon game“.
