Ernestyna Orlowska (1987*) ist Performance-Künstlerin und arbeitet auf der Schnittstelle von bildender Kunst und Theater. Seit 2012 zeigt sie ihre Arbeiten regelmässig in Museen, Offspaces und Theatern, so zum Beispiel FRUITS am Les Urbaines Festival in Lausanne, God Is A Girl bei New Swiss Performance Now in der Kunsthalle Basel und Wishing Well am Arena Festival in Erlangen, wo sie auch den Jurypreis dafür gewann. Sie ist Gewinnerin von Premio 2018, dem Nachwuchspreis für Theater und Tanz. In ihrer Arbeit interessiert sie sich für Popkultur, Mystik und dem zeitgenössischen Dasein im Zeitalter des Internets und der Globalisierung. Mit visuellen Mitteln inszeniert sie surreale Figuren wie humanoide künstliche Intelligenzen, depressive Märchenfeen und kopflose Partypriesterinnen. Für Body and Freedom veranstaltet sie einen umgekehrten Striptease im Stil einer Strassenmusikantin. Mit jedem Franken entscheidet das Publikum, ob sie die nächsten 15 Sekunden die Kleider auszieht oder anzieht, je nach dem in welches Kässeli das Geld gelegt wird.
Ernestyna Orlowska (1987*) is a performance artist working in the fields of fine arts and theater. Since 2012 her works are shown in galleries, museums and theaters, such as FRUITS at Les Urbaines Festival Lausanne, God Is A Girl at New Swiss Performance Now, Kunsthalle Basel and Wishing Well at Arena Festival in Erlangen where she also won the jury price for the piece. She is the winner of Premio 2018, the national dance and theatre price for upcoming artists. Her works are focusing on pop culture, mysticism and the contemporary state of mind in the age of the internet and globalization. With strongly visual means she creates surreal characters such as humanoid AI’s, depressed fairies and headless party priests. For Body and Freedom she will do a vice versa strip in the style of a street musician. With each franc the audience can decide whether the next 15 seconds she will be taking her clothes off or putting them back on, depending on the audience choosing the left or right hat.
