Manuel Scheiwiller (*1984) ohne Wohnsitz. Nach Tanz- und Theaterausbildungen und Studium bei Christian Jankowski und Rainer Ganahl in Stuttgart, begann er 2009 mit „The night of the wild cannibals“ in der Kunsthalle Basel, bekam 2011 den Schweizer Performance Preis, ist seit 2014 auf Tour mit Young boy Dancing group, einer Kompanie mit offener Autorenschaft und Beteiligten. Letzte Shows Lithauischer Pavillon Venedig Biennale 2015. Am Body and Freedom Festival zeigt Manuel Scheiwiller mit Ofelia Jarl-Ortega, Antonio Ono, Soren Dastrup und Ivan Rueda bewegungsintensive Körperskulpturen. Die Gruppe beschäftigt sich mit dem Emanzipationsprozess des Körpers und wird im Dachstock der Alten Krone am Samstag 22. August nach 23 Uhr das Festival mit einem Versuch der Transformation von Tanz und Sex abschliessen. Besucher/innen können hier gerne nackt dabeisein.
Manuel Scheiwiller (*1984) sans domicile fixe. Après sa formation théâtrale et des études auprès de Christian Jankowski et Rainer Ganahl à Stuttgart, il débute en 2009 avec „The night of the wild cannibals“ à la Kunsthalle de Bâle et reçoit le Prix de la Performance en 2011. Depuis 2014, il est en tournée avec Young boy Dancing group, une compagnie d’auteurs indépendants et d’intéressés. Ses dernières productions sont : le Pavillon lituanien à la Biennale de Venise en 2015. Au Festival Body and Freedom, Manuel Scheiwiller présente, avec Ofelia Jarl-Ortega, Antonio Ono, Soren Dastrup et Ivan Rueda, des sculptures corporelles d’une intense mobilité. Le groupe s’intéresse particulièrement au processus d’émancipation du corps. En clôture du Festival, dans le Grenier de la Vieille Couronne, le samedi 22 août après 23 heures, les artistes tenteront un essai de transformation de danse et sexe. Les spectateurs peuvent volontiers y assister nus.
Manuel Scheiwiller (*1984), of no fixed abode, studied dance and theatre with Christian Jankowski and Rainer Ganahl in Stuttgart, Germany. He went on to realise „the Night of the Wild Cannibals“ in 2009 for the Kunsthalle Basel, and won the Swiss Performance Prize in 2011. Since 2014 he is on tour with “ Young Boy Dancing“ group, a company with open management and varying participant artists. The most recent shows were for the Lithuanian Pavillon in the Venice Biennale 2015. In Body and Freedom Festival, Manuel Scheiwiller, together with Ofelia Jarl-Ortega, Antonio Ono, Soren Dastrup and Ivan Rueda, will show intensively moving bodysculptures. The group focuses on the emancipation process of the body. In the Dachstock (Loft) of the Alte Krone gallery, on Saturday 22. August after 23h, they will aim to create a transformation of dance and sex to mark the close of the festival. Visitors are invited to be naked if they wish to.
