Orinta Pranaityte (*1991) lebt und arbeitet in den East Midlands (UK). Als visuelle Künstlerin schafft sie Performances, Video- und Soundarbeiten. Während einer intensiven Periode während ihres Masterstudiums in Kunst an der Universität Lincoln (2016-2017) begann sie mit installativen Langzeitperformances. Ihre Praxis betrifft den Körper – seine Stärken, Schwächen und Herausforderungen in der Performancekunst. Am Body and Freedom Festival wird sich Orinta Pranaityte in einer ein- bis zweistündigen Performance mit den architektonischen Elemente des Platzes auseinandersetzen.
Orinta Pranaityte (*1991) is a visual artist based in the East Midlands, UK, who is engaged with performance art, video and sound work. Over an intensive period in her MA Fine Art course at the University of Lincoln (2016-2017), she started working on installation based endurance performances. Her practice concerns the body; addressing its power, weaknesses and challenges in performance art. In Body for Freedom Festival, Pranaityte will perform a durational piece near Rathausbrücke bridge, engaging with the architectural elements of the space.
