Yann Marussich (1966) gründete 1993 die Studios für zeitgenössischen Tanz in Genf und war bis 2000 Direktor des Théâtre de l’Usine. 2001 choreografierte er sein erstes komplett unbewegtes Stück Bleu Provisoire. Seither vertieft er sich in selbstbeobachtender Kontrolle von Ruhe und Stillsein während er seinen Körper physischen Belastungen oder gar Angriffen aussetzt. Im oft heftigen Kontrast zwischen körperlicher Strapazen und absoluter Unempfindlichkeit findet er den poetischen Raum des Performers. Seine Performances wie Autoportrait dans une fourmilière (2003), Traversée (2004), Blessure (2005), Bain Brisé (2010), Glassed (2011), Rideau! (2014), BLANC and La Chaise (2015), Le Festin du béton (2017), Concrete Walk (2018) wurden an verschiedenen Festivals in der Schweiz und im Ausland gezeigt. Yann Marussich gewann 2008 den Ars Electronica Preis in der Kategorie Hybrid Art für sein Stück Bleu Remix (2007). Am Body and Freedom Festival realisiert er Blanc Nu, eine Langzeitperformance über mehrere Stunden.
Yann Marussich (1966) is the founder of the ADC Studio (Geneva), created in 1993, and was director of the Théâtre de l’Usine (Geneva) until 2000. In 2001, Yann Marussich choreographed Bleu Provisoire, his first totally motionless piece. Since then, he is sinking into introspection and the control of stillness meanwhile confronting his body to diverse physical loads, or even agressions. This is where the poetic space of the performer is located, in an often violent contrast between what his body is undergoing and an absolute impassiveness. His performances such as Autoportrait dans une fourmilière (2003), Traversée (2004), Blessure (2005), Bain Brisé (2010), Glassed (2011), Rideau! (2014), BLANC and La Chaise (2015), Le Festin du béton (2017), Concrete Walk (2018) have been presented in many festivals in Switzerland and abroad. In 2008, Yann Marussich won the Ars Electronica price in the category Hybrid Art for his performance Bleu Remix. In Body and Freedom Festival he will premiere Blanc Nu, a performance conceived for the occasion and which will be lasting many hours.
BLANC NU est une performance unique, conçue pour et à l’occasion du Body and Freedom Festival 2018 à Zurich. Un homme nu est immobile et silencieux. Les passants sont invités à répondre à une question posée en dessinant ou en écrivant sur son corps, à même la peau du performer. La question est : « comment aimeriez-vous faire l’amour ? ». Yann Marussich propose une performance évolutive en fonction du contexte. Une sorte de tableau vivant autour d’une question ou d’une problématique existentielle, politique ou tout simplement poétique. BLANC NU a eu lieu le samedi 25 août 2018, de 14:30 à 17.30 à Zurich-Rathausbrücke.
